I
enjoy lots of cookies and my favourite hobby is sneaking upstairs to bed
when Mom isn't looking. Dad lets me crawl into bed with Mom some mornings,
but this is hard to do without waking Mom up cause it's a waterbed! As
soon as Mom is up in the morning I follow her around and pant in her face
and generally just get underfoot so that she knows I want a cookie. After
Mom falls over me a few times she gets me a cookie and then I try to sneak
back up to bed. |

We
live in the country on 40 acres of bush and trails and so we have a lot
of adventures, well, at least I do. One spring, a baby black bear was hungry
because the berries weren't on the trees yet. He would come every night
to the bird feeder outside of Mom and Dad's bedroom window (my bedroom
too) to eat the bird food. He was a baby, maybe a year old but he was big!
I made sure that I barked at every noise even if I wasn't sure if it was
the bear, just so Mom and Dad would know I was doing my 'guard dog' duties.
Mom and Dad tried to be supportive, but I think they would have been happy
with a little 'less' notification. |

Wow!
Those bears have the right idea! Berries are great, or is that bearries......?
We have raspberries, chokecherries, plums, and other ones, but Mom hasn't
told me the names of them yet. In the beginning I went berry picking with
Mom, but after just watching her a few times I learned how to pick my own.
I take the branch with the ripe (white berries are not ripe - yuck !) I
gently hold the branch and then run my mouth down it. The leaves stay on
the branches and the fruit just 'plops' into my mouth. This is even better
than cookies! |

Summer
is so great ! Another thing that we do is to go for ice cream. I enjoy
this so much that I can recognize when we are at an 'ice cream place',
of course the other people standing around with cones is a good clue. I
get so excited that I cry and jump up and down which for some reason makes
everyone smile, laugh and point at me. Mom and Dad get me a white (I think
they call it vanilla) cone and it is soooo yummy ! |

One
of my favourite summer pastimes (other than sleeping, of course!) is trying
to catch flies with my mouth and then I swallow them! This isn't easy,
are they ever fast! After that, I'm pretty tired, so I have to go have
a nap. |

Every
month I have to get in the bath and get wet and Mom and Dad rub bubbly
stuff all over me. I don't like this very much, but Mom sure seems to appreciate
me afterwards. |

I
have a special friend, Sam. (my Mom and Dad's niece) Sam is 13 and whenever
we are together we play lots and she takes me on walks. |

Sometimes
we go for rides to Grandma's house and visit. It's fun there, Grandma always
has cookies (what grandma doesn't!) I am supposed to stay out of the flower
beds at Grandma's but sometimes I forget and get into trouble. |

I
have three pussycats, Gizmo, Joshua and Bailey. I really love my
pussycats and I give them lots of kisses. |
